The PAM01089 model from Panerai, known as the Submersible Navy SEALs Afniotech Experience, made its debut in 2026. This limited release consists of just 35 pieces, housed in a striking 47mm case crafted from Afniotech, a new high-performance alloy containing over 95 percent hafnium. This innovative case not only marks its first use in watchmaking by Panerai but also boasts an impressive water resistance of 100 bar, equivalent to nearly 1,000 meters, with testing validates its endurance surpasses this rating.

Designed with the professional diver in mind, the case incorporates reinforced Submersible architecture featuring robust pressure-bearing components including a sapphire crystal and titanium case back. A unidirectional rotating bezel is equipped with a finely detailed 15-minute scale laser-engraved for precision, square cut teeth for better grip, and a luminous marker positioned at the 12 o'clock mark. Enhanced underwater readability is achieved with the use of Super-LumiNova X2 on both the dial and bezel, where the minute hand and bezel dot illuminate in blue, contrasting with the green glow of other luminescent elements.

Functionally, the watch presents hours, minutes, small seconds, date, and a 12-hour GMT indicator, merging travel ease with dive watch utility. At its heart lies the automatic P.9010/GMT movement, which offers a three-day power reserve across two barrels. Completing the look is an anthracite textile strap secured by a titanium buckle. Additionally, owners will have the unique opportunity to participate in a three-day Navy SEALs Experience in Florida, set for March 2027.
