In 2012, Vacheron Constantin released the Métiers d'Art The Legend of the Chinese Zodiac Year of the Snake watch to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The dial features a beautiful leaf motif that is etched directly into the metal, creating a subtle depth effect. The intricate snake engraving on the dial requires a skilled artisan to spend at least 30 hours to perfect. The dial is then hand-fired using the Grand Feu enamelling technique, resulting in a stunning blue or bronze-toned finish. The final touch is the delicate placement of the snake in the center of the dial, giving the watch a truly captivating appearance. The watch comes in a pink gold or platinum case, with only 12 pieces available in each.
