In 2012, the Royal Oak Ultra Thin Tourbillon was released. This watch combines the iconic Royal Oak design with a hand-wound movement featuring a tourbillon escapement. It was the first Royal Oak model to have this highly-regarded feature without any extra complications. Previous versions, such as the 1997 limited edition and the Chrono Tourbillon, had additional functions. The current version has a platinum case and bracelet, and was introduced to the collection in 2016. Its dial has a cool, smoky grey hue.
