In 2004, IWC released the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire, a more luxurious version of their iconic pilot's chronograph. The dial and movement remain unchanged, but with added details like applied numerals and varying textures. The hands now feature an alpha/sword design. Available with a black or silver dial, the 3706 Spitfire offers a choice of languages for the date display and comes with either a leather strap or stainless steel bracelet. Early models use caliber 7922, while later ones use caliber 79320. The black dial version comes in five variations, each with a different language for the date display and a choice of alligator strap or stainless steel bracelet.
