In 2009, IWC brought back the external rotating bezel to the Aquatimer with the launch of the 3767 model. This was a feature that had been missing since the discontinuation of the 3536 reference in 2004. The Aquatimer Chronograph has a 44mm stainless steel case, standing at a height of 15mm. The only exception was the Darwin Foundation version, which had a rubber coating. Sadly, this reference was phased out in 2014 when the next generation of Aquatimers was introduced. One standout model from this series is the IW3767-05 'Galapagos Islands', which pays tribute to the Darwin Foundation and boasts a rubber-coated case.
