In 2004, IWC released the Pilot's Watch Chronograph Spitfire as a more luxurious version of their beloved pilot's chronograph. The dial and movement remain the same, but the dial is more intricate with applied numerals and different textures. The hands have also been updated to alpha/sword style. The Spitfire is available with a black or silver dial, a choice of languages for the date display, and either a leather strap or stainless steel bracelet. Early models use the caliber 7922, while later versions use the 79320. The silver dial comes in five variations, each with a different language for the date display and the option of an alligator strap or stainless steel bracelet.
