In 1985, IWC made a splash with their Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar wristwatch, featuring a groundbreaking mechanism. It became a hit, appearing not only in the Da Vinci collection but also in other IWC and JLC models. The 39mm watch came in various metals and dial colors, with options for different languages. Plexi glass was standard, but sapphire crystal could be requested. Later on, a ceramic version and diamond-set cases were introduced. A bracelet option was also available. A newer model, the 3758, was released around 2005.
